Should parents be concerned about new iPhone update?
Amir Sachs, founder of Blue Light IT, has been featured on CBS 12 News discussing the latest iPhone update and its potential safety concerns for children. The iOS 17 update includes a feature called NameDrop, which allows users to easily share contact information and photos by bringing two iPhones close together. While this convenience is appealing, Sachs highlights the unease among parents and law enforcement regarding its implications for kids and teenagers.
Despite the concerns, Sachs reassures that NameDrop requires both phones to be unlocked and users to give consent before any information is exchanged, making it a more secure version of AirDrop.
